Character Name: Caitlyn Kirraman
Character Canon: If applicable.
Canon Point: post-s1
Age: 20ish
Crime: treason against Piltover
Background: linky link
Personality: On the surface, one might think of Caitlyn as just another obnoxious, high society lady. But she's nothing of the sort. Even as a child, Cailyn would be out in the field, practicing her shooting skills, rather that joining the fancy parities her parents would be involved in. As she grew older, she came to the realization that being a Kirraman meant helping and protecting Piltover, just like her family before her, only...she had a different idea to go about it.
Instead of fancy parties and counsels to get things done, she wanted to get things done. She joined the city's police force, becoming an Enforcer with the idea of making the city a better place. She wanted to make a name for herself, but for her own actions, not for being a part of one of the most powerful families in Piltover.
Caitlyn is very smart when it comes to investigation. She sees into details most might miss or glance over, and spent much of her time as an Enforcer, connecting dots back to Silco for the crime in the Undercity. She found and connected the clues all by herself, actually breaking orders from the Sheriff repeatedly to dig more into what she had found. When it comes to doing the right thing, she isn't afraid to disobey orders. Unknown to her, the reason Marcus was so against her investigation, was because he was also working for Silco. Because he repeatedly shut her down and tried to stop her, she once again goes around him to meet one of Silco's men in jail, which leads her to meeting Vi.
When Caitlyn first meets Vi, she thinks she's just another bruiser from the Lanes. Just another criminal that deserves to be locked up for her crimes. It's Caitlyn's obsession with the Silco case that leads her to have Vi released, using her to get into the Lanes and start searching for answers.
At first, she's really only using Vi for the information she can gain on Silco for her, but the longer she spends with her, she quickly becomes attached to the other woman. She goes out of her way to save her when she becomes injured, and repeatedly risks her life for Vi. It's Vi that changes her views on the Lanes. When she first sets out with her, she still sees the Undercity as nothing more than a criminal wasteland, where people there choose to be and act the way they do. But as she sees it for herself, and learns what Vi experienced there, she quickly realizes the truth. The Undercity is the way that it is because of Piltover's neglect. She even argues this point in front of Piltover's counsel, including her own mother, but it falls on mostly deaf ears, which only encourages her to try to do more. Vi isn't even the only one that opens her eyes to this, but also Huck. She sees his suffering, how he got hooked on Shimmer. It breaks her heart to see his suffering, and is so grateful for his help that she even gives him a big hug.
Along with her own self-righteous mindset, comes a disdain for those who choose to do wrong. The smuggling, attacks on the docks, and especially the attack on Progress Day pushes Caitlyn to find the criminals behind everything. While she's sympathetic to those that have been dealt a bad hand at life, it's those that continue to willing do bad things that lose her sympathy. When it comes to Jinx, she initially gives Vi the benefit of the doubt. She realizes quickly that Jinx was working with Silco, puts all the pieces together, and comes to the conclusion that she's a lost cause. While she didn't exactly stop Vi from trying, she tried her best to make Vi see that nothing she could do would change or stop Jinx. At the end of s1, she even puts her life on the line, and was ready to take out Jinx to protect Vi and Piltover from her, knowing the consequences if she did.
