[sorry Akechi!! you introduced yourself as Goro Akechi and she knows nothing about Japanese culture. She doesn't even know or realize if she did something taboo. Feel free to correct her and she won't make the mistake again!]
Unfortunately, no. Even speaking to Jerry myself got me nowhere. They're very tight lipped about everything, like the rest of the locals.
I wondered that, as well. But hypnotism wouldn't explain why your wire went out, unless they have devices that interfered with it just inside. I remember walking the hallways, but as soon as I went through the doorway into their Chambers, everything is fuzzy.
[Magic made sense, of course. It would explain how they did every other crazy thing that they had done to them, thus far.]
I asked him how the Council makes the decisions to bring us here as well as choose us for sentencing. I asked about the laws and rules they abide by, and why some Chosen haven't done anything actually criminal, or others have but their stated "crime" is innocuous in comparison. He just kept repeating that he was the messenger for the Council and not privy to their work. But I did get him to admit that their plan of rehabilitation was delayed, as for why the sentencing only started recently. I suggested the Council communicate more with us, but he stated they felt it unnecessary to explain themselves to us. It wasn't much, but it was something, at least.

I was wondering if your attempts to investigate the Council and their warden Jerry has beared any fruits?

And I take that you have no coherent memories of the Council itself? I tried to wear a wire, but even that was blocked out.

[The Council really wanted to leave them in the dark, didn't they?]

that is worrisome, i wonder if they have used hypnotism or something similar on us.
if you can, could you recite your conversation with their warden Jerry?
